Project Description:	Jared was involved in a large project called light speed, FTTN engineering, he helped design jobs in different municipalities from Ventura to OC.  He helped to formulate a plan, design the plant they were placing out there to upgrade facilities design.  He eventually started to project manage, making sure everything was followed through with.
Cultural Environment:	We as ATT management had employees and 70 contract employees, they were grouped together with 15 engineers assigned to each manager, all working in house.
Job Duties & Technologies:	Jared was part of the planning, design, and project management portion of the Light Speed project.  ARES-design tool/ CAD, JAMS-assigned time hours and money to project, Telco 11i-kept track of budget, Google earth, MapQuest.

 

Technical Performance & Ability:	He was one of our top 10 out of 70 engineers we had here, has a great knowledge of the computer programs we use here, a quick leaner, one of the younger kids we had working here, great to be around, last group of 10 we had to let go.
Non-Technical Skills:	He was great, cared a lot about him, got along great with everyone, put in positions for team lead, he ended up being a lead/ PM, work directly with field tech and answered any questions the field might have had.
Strengths & Weaknesses:	Communication gets along well with everyone, knowledge of computers, willingness to take on more work/challenges.

Project Description:	Working on placing cooper placement side of the house, conditioning cooper cable to provide fiber to the cooper facilities.  He did great work for me, quick with jobs, engineering for testing jobs, object being to test pairs before they engineer, they needed test results before engineer.
Cultural Environment:	Jared was loaned to help with work load that would pill up, he was asked because he was quick and was part of a team that worked independently.  A lot of the contractors were split up amongst the full time employees.
Job Duties & Technologies:	Work with fielders to get test results done, engineer fiber and cooper placements, cost evaluations, and managing parts of the project.

 

Technical Performance & Ability:	Jared is very smart, is a quick learner, and fast.  Compared to everyone else Jared was part of the last groups we had to let go. We were letting people go, and getting rid of at least 6+ contractors at time six or seven times through the course of 6 months.
Non-Technical Skills:	Jared is a real good team player, he did great working with the team, very blessed that we had such a good group of engineers.
